Greyhound - Steffan Piper This is a nice coming-of-age-on-a-bus story, with interesting characters, and plenty of lessons learned along the way.

This book actually brought back some old memories for me. While this is the story of an 11-year old boy traveling across the country on a Greyhound bus by himself in 1981. I actually rode from Philadelphia to Raleigh on a Greyhound bus by myself when I was 12 in 1972. My adventures were not quite as memorable, or exciting, but my trip was only a quarter of young Sebastien's.

Still, the scenes of entering and exiting bus stations in the towns, of leaving an returning to the bus, and the kindness of strangers were all experiences we shared.

The pace was quick, and the writing clean, and this was an enjoyable trip.
